Gone Poets

Gone Poets
Jana Brock, Author

In mystery
And the writing sly
Stay the poets
Of days gone by

No modern prose
Flow through a quill
Of painful hush
And mental still

Their deeping sleep
And dreams betray
Memories of
A long gone day

The passersby
And the drivers on
Ignore the haunt
Of the poet’s song

For what we pen
In our misbehave
Send books of write
To a wordy grave
